  1. Call to Order 4:05 p.m.
  2. Motion to approve Agenda with flexibility (Wright/Wiegand) Motion carries
  3. Motion to approve August 28, 2017 Minutes (Llewelyn/Oldham) Motion carries
  4. President’s Report (Nancy Dunn) see report on fsuta.org
  • Catastrophic Leave—new teachers definitely need to contact Kim Morgan to donate a day
  • Medical Open Enrollment—teachers who may be retiring need to be on a district plan for the last year in order for the district to pay part of the plan after they retire
  • DACA—F-SUTA is aligned with CTA/NEA in support of DACA

  1. Positive share-outs
  • Atmosphere at Armijo and B. Gale Wilson has greatly improved
  • Full inclusion model at Special Ed Pre-School is going smoothly
  1. Break-out sessions by secondary, elementary, and specialists—notes will go to Nancy Dunn
  2. Bi-lateral Evaluation Committee Report (Christina Kling)
  • Each site needs a teacher to be on the committee and they and the administrator need to attend the training or evaluations will be thrown out
  1. Grievance Committee Report (Keitha Bryan)
  • Committee members needed
  • Evaluation timeline training is wrong; evaluation training must be done by admin and teacher committee member or it will be a contract violation
  • Elementary release still inequitable
  • RSP distribution in secondary in progress
  • Elementary team teachers need to fill out paperwork
  • Evaluation issues at Nelda Mundy
  • Williams Act violation for missing instructional materials
  • Weingarten Rights cards will be handed out next Rep Council
  • Do not negotiate with administration to change any part of the contract

  • Dan needs volunteers to help organize fun events for members
  • Solano-Contra Costa Food Bank needs help at their warehouse—sites could take an evening
  1. Bargaining Committee Report (Stephanie Cobb) see emailed report and fsuta.org
  • Bargaining survey about class size is going out on Thursday—teachers need to fill it out to show they care about class size
  1. Steve Savage—Strong Work Site presentation
  • Keep track of who has signed the class size petition
  • F-SUTA Informal Site Assessment distributed for reps to fill out ASAP
  • Cordelia Instructional Leadership Conference—almost all sessions are eligible for professional development/buyback
  1. Announcements
  • Send sizes for new F-SUTA shirts to fsutaprez@gmail.com unless they are being distributed through the Welcome Wagon
  • Written reports on breakout sessions forthcoming from Nancy Dunn
